Hey! I’m Melissa Filippone. I am currently the Vice President of Stats Club. Stats club is a great place to meet up with your peers outside of class or studying. It allows you to interact with one another on a more personal basis creating important relationships with your fellow classmates. It also provides opportunities to volunteer our time and service using our knowledge of statistics and also help our community in any way we can. It also gives you a glimpse of how you can use what you learn in class and actually apply it to a given problem or issue we are working on and see first-hand how it can be resolved using simple statistics or analysis.
Hi, I'm Joanna Hampton. I am currently the President of Statistics Club. I like watching movies with friends, snowmobiling, and eating food! I found my place at Stats Club in 2013. I like Stats Club because not only do we have a chance to relax during the week, but we actually do meaningful activities each semester. We participate in activities such as volunteering and making surveys to suit the needs of local businesses. We have many more projects planned for upcoming semesters, so check us out and decide for yourself whether Stats Club is for you! Feel free to email me if you have any questions at all.
Hi. I'm Eric Hampton. I am currently a general member of Statistics Club. I plan to graduate in Fall 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education: Integrated Science. I like hanging out with friends at Stats Club. It's always a fun time to go each week. The pizza that we get each month is delicious too! I enjoy running, snowmobiling, and watching Netflix. I encourage you to come to Statistics Club no matter what your major! See you next week!
My name is Benjamin Robinson. I am currently the Secretary for Statistics Club and have been an active member since joining in the fall of 2013. I originally joined so that I would have some sort of involvement. Statistics Club has been so much more. Statistics Club allows me to gain perspective from fellow members about our common major. Due to the personal connections formed, I am able to learn from my colleagues' mistakes. Statistics Club does all of this for me while still allowing me to use my statistical background to help the community. Joining Statistics Club was probably the highlight of my freshman year.

Hi, I'm Sarah! I graduated from CMU with a degree in Actuarial Science and Mathematics. I currently work for Towers Watson as an actuarial analyst and I love it! I am very happy to have graduated but I still miss being on campus and seeing all of my Stats Club friends!
Hi, my name is Devan Walworth. I was involved with Statistics Club my Junior and Senior year. I would have liked to be involved earlier, but the club wasn't really too organized or much of anything before then. I was the Club Liaison in 2014, so I tried to communicate with the three math groups on campus (Stats Club, Kappa Mu Epsilon, and Gamma Iota Sigma) to set up different events, such as the annual book sale and Math Awareness Night. Stats Club has been a great experience where I have learned different surveying techniques, helped to make a difference with statistics in the community, and made new friends with similar interests. Everyone with even an inkling of interest in math or stats should check out Stats Club!
